Questions

How long should my hair be prior to body sugaring?

4 weeks of hair growth is perfect, but 3 weeks of growth is acceptable.

How long should I wait between appointments?

The optimal amount of time between sugaring appointments is 4 weeks, depending on the body part. The goal is to remove the hair at a particular point in the hair growth cycle to encourage permanency.

How long will my Brazilian appointment take?

Your first appointment can take between 20- 30 minutes depending on how long your hair is, and if you have been waxing or shaving. A maintenance appointment can take 25 minutes or less.

Can I have my Brazilian or Bikini sugared if I’m on my period?:

It is entirely up to you. The skin can be more sensitive at this point in your cycle, and you may opt to reschedule, but it’s fine to receive sugaring treatments while on your period. We just ask that you wear a tampon.

Can sugaring remove hair forever?

While we cannot guarantee this, in many cases, sugaring can lead to permanency.

Can I sugar while using Accutane or Retin-A?

It is not recommended as these treatments can make the skin thin and fragile.

How long does sugaring last?

It varies from person to person and here's why: There are three separate hair growth cycles. On your first sugaring visit, we treat the first, second, and part of the third hair growth cycle. Once you’ve returned for a second or third appointment, we start treating all three growth cycles at the same time. As you continue sugaring regularly, you will be able to wait longer and longer between appointments.

Will the hair grow back darker and more coarse?

No! Your hair will grow back thinner, and many clients report a noticeable reduction in hair growth. When opting to have your body sugared - the first three appointments are the most important, and should be booked fairly close together, to tackle the three hair growth cycles at once, as mentioned above.

Can I shave between appointments?

No! Using razors or depilatory cream between appointments will interfere with the goal of diminishing hair growth.

What makes sugaring different than waxing?

Sugaring is longer-lasting, exfoliates while removing the first layer of dead skin cells, and is 100% pure and organic. It is also more sanitary than waxing because there is no double dipping. Additionally, shorter hair can be extracted. Sugaring is water-soluble and easy to remove from clothing.
